Differences Between Hot Dip Galvanizing And Cold Galvanizing
The main differences between hot-dip galvanizing and cold galvanizing are as follows:
1. Unlike corrosion resistance, hot galvanizing is dozens of times that of cold galvanizing.
2. The method of operation is different: hot galvanizing is the zinc plating in the molten zinc of 450-480 degree, and the cold plating is zinc plated by electroplating or other methods at normal temperature.
3. The thickness of the galvanized layer is different, and the thickness of hot galvanizing is much greater than that of cold galvanizing.
4. The surface has different smoothness, and the cold galvanizing surface looks better than hot galvanizing.
5. Price is different, hot galvanizing price is higher than cold galvanizing.
6. Cold galvanizing can be plated only one side, hot galvanizing will be fully plated.
7. Different adhesion, cold galvanizing adhesion is less than hot galvanizing.
Now in general use are hot-dip galvanized, special equipment will use cold galvanizing, because of the craft that makes different, color is also different, cold outer wall only plating galvanized, hot-dipped inside and outside are plated, most of the normal galvanized scaffolding tube manufacturers, because of quality problems, generally do not use cold plating. Individual small enterprises will adopt electric galvanization, of course, the price is relatively cheaper.
