Tips on Using Scaffolding Ladders
As one of the leading professional scaffolding manufacturers in China, ADTO group supply different new type scaffolding with an excellent design for sale. Scaffolding ladders, essential components of a whole scaffolding system, are important in the erection of scaffolding. What should we notice when using scaffolding ladders? Below shows some tips for you.
1. Before using the scaffolding ladder, we must check for its size and length, also its components and whether the material of the ladder is suitable for the working conditions.
2. Before use, check the side rail of the scaffolding ladder, the lock of the horizontal gear, the retractable ladder, and the safety of the angle of the ladder.
3. If possible, all the scaffolding ladders should be fixed or tied securely in use. (for example, the movement of a boat may cause staff to lose their balance).
4. When you climb a scaffolding ladder, you must hold both sides of the ladder with both hands. Tools are placed in the pocket or used by a rope.
5. Portable scaffolding ladders should be placed on the solid ground or flat surfaces or other fixed surfaces, and must not be placed on unstable or smooth surfaces, such as on boxes or crates. The distance between the foot of the ladder should be close to a quarter of the height of the ladder.
6. When using a scaffolding steel ladder, one person should be under the supervision.
7. The electrical work must be used in an effectively insulated scaffolding ladder.
8. Any fixed scaffolding ladder higher than 6m must have a cage or climbing device. The climbing device should be inspected and tested before each use and should be very strong and reliable.
9. All fixed scaffolding ladders with a height of more than 10m must set up a platform for rest at every 10m location. The platform should also be surrounded by friendly guardrails and climbing devices. When the connection of a partial ladder is interrupted, the climbing device should be connected to the new part at design time.
