Tips on Scaffolding Use
Time:2018/10/08
Scaffolding refers to a temporary construction supporting system used for supporting construction workers or construction material vertical/horizontal transporting. There are some using tips you should pay attention to as follows for the general structure of the scaffolding:
- A scaffolding system and its components must not be loaded beyond their bearing capacity
- The use of shore or lean-to scaffolds is prohibited.
- Damaged components must be removed, repaired or replaced with a new one.
- Occupied scaffolds must not be moved unless the scaffold is designed for movement by a professional engineer or is a mobile scaffold.
- The scaffolding system should not be used in slippery conditions, such as snowy or icy weather, expect to remove such hazards.
- Taglines should be used to control loads being hoisted onto or near scaffolding.
- Tools, material, and debris should be removed from the scaffold to prevent accumulation and trip hazards.
- No makeshift devices, such as boxes or barrels, may be used to increase the working-level height.
- No ladders may be placed on the top of the scaffold deck, except under certain large-area scaffolds.
- Provisions need to be made to prevent the platform from deflecting.
In summary, scaffolds work in many ways to ensure the safety of construction workers working on them. Scaffolding constructed to meet the requirements of this specification is the basic condition for the construction.
