Because that they have the strong anti-rust ability and they can serve a longer life than cold galvanized steel pipes. Meanwhile, because of the different production process, hot dip galvanized steel pipe is more stable than cold galvanized steel pipe. They have a strong bearing capacity to hold the scaffolding planks.

1.The distinction in the production process.

Cold galvanizing is a physical process by galvanizing the surface of pipes, without galvanizing inside. So the cold galvanizing coating is easy to fall off. While hot-dip galvanizing is a chemical process, which belongs to an Electrochemical reaction. The hot dip galvanizing coating is more stable than the former. We often use hot dip galvanized steel pipe as scaffolding tubes to hold the scaffolding planks.

2.Differences in thickness of the galvanized coating.

With thick and uniform galvanizing coating, the hot dip galvanized steel pipe has a good surface quality. This caused a strong anti-rust ability of pre-galvanized steel pipe. While the cold galvanizing coating is electroplating coating, it is separate from steel pipe substrates and easy to fall off. Therefore, its corrosion resistance is poor.
