Ringlock Scaffolding Components’ Storage and Handling
1. Do not carry Scaffolding components up or down a Scaffolding ladder.
2. If possible, please store all equipment and Ringlock Scaffolding components in a dry and secure environment.
3. Ensure Scaffolding stillages and Scaffolding storage rack are loaded to the approved Safe Working Load and not overloaded.
4. Always pass Scaffolding components by hand, or use a Gin Wheel and rope. Never bomb, throw or allow Scaffolding components to fall.
5. Wear the appropriate type of gloves and protective helmet to protect your safety, whenever necessary. Take extra care when handling sharp-edged metal components.
6. Ensure all your Ringlock Scaffolding components and equipment are neatly stored in relevant Scaffolding stillage or Scaffolding storage rack. Stack neatly to no more than five lifts high.
7. Scaffolding stillages or storage racks should be forklifted or craned onto a flatbed truck for transport. Individual or lose items should be stacked into Scaffolding stillages or storage racks and wrapped/ strapped prior to loading and transport.
8. Visually inspect all Scaffolding after use and arrival back into the storage area. For inspection and quarantine of Ringlock Scaffolding components, Refer to Technical Information and Maintenance Manual.
9. Inspect Scaffolding equipment at regular intervals not greater than 30 days to inspect for general wear and tear. All Scaffolding components should be checked prior to erection and use.
10. When stacking and moving Ringlock Scaffolding components, be careful to ensure ground stability if stored in an outdoor environment.
