Why We Choose Galvalume Steel Coil?

Time:2019/03/26

It is a known fact that steel is easy to rust and get corrosion. Environmental elements, such as water and oxygen can degrade the quality, strength, and life of steel products. This natural degradation of steel is known as corrosion.

Industries undertake tremendous measures to prevent steel from rusting. Galvanized steel and Galvalume steel are two effective solutions for combating rusting and corroding.

Galvanization is the process of applying a zinc coating to steel (or any other metal) to prevent its corrosion.

Galvalume is a process just like galvanization. But galvalume is a process of applying a coating combined with Zinc, Aluminum, and silicon to the steel to prevent its corrosion.

As a result, these two process helps extend the life of steel.

But which process is the better one?

The answer is a definite Galvalume.

The main difference between Galvanization and Galvalume is that galvalume is a combination of zinc, aluminum, and silicon, while galvanizing is 100% zinc. The makeup of the three elements in a Galvalume coating is just over 50% aluminum, just under 50% zinc, with trace amounts of silicon.

An advantage that Galvalume has over normal galvanized material is that it has enhanced protection abilities. Over time, Galvalume tends to perform better than galvanized steel, especially when exposed to water or other liquids that can speed up the oxidation process. Even after a few decades, Galvalume-coated steel will be less likely to rust than normal galvanized steel.

Galvalume is also considered more aesthetically pleasing than hot-dipped galvanized materials.

Galvalume steel coils manufactured by ADTOMALL have more beautiful appearance and top-notch quality. Any further demands for construction materials, pls. Contact Us.
