OCTG is the acronym for Oil Country Tubular Goods. OCTG is the tube and pipe which is used in the production of oil and gas. OCTG is a wide range of steel tubular products which are used in the exploration, development, and production, of oil and gas, particularly in the drilling process. 

This kind of pipe is used both onshore and offshore for the production of oil and gas. Oil Country Tubular Goods are a collection of rolled metal products such as drill pipes, casing, and tubing, line pipes, couplings, connections, and accessories which are used in oil and gas production activities. These OTCG products are manufactured according to the specifications set by API (American Petroleum Institute).

As per the API standardized specifications, OCTG is classified under more than ten grades, based on their performance and materials used. OCTG pipes can be seamless or can be welded using Electric Resistance Welding (ERW). They are available in various sizes and are of different lengths.
