In the early 1980s, China introduced various types of scaffolds, such as frame scaffolding system and cuplock scaffolding system. Frame scaffolding system has a wide application in many domestic construction projects and has a good effect. Frame scaffolding manufacturers in China are mainly processing with supplied drawings at that time. Frame scaffolding system has not been promoted and applied due to its quality problem.  Cuplock scaffolding system is one of the new types of scaffolding systems which is most popular and promoted. But it is only used in some regions and some construction projects without a popular using in China.

Since the 1990s, some domestic enterprises have introduced foreign advanced technology and developed a variety of new scaffolding systems, such as tubular scaffolding system, kwikstage scaffolding system, ringlock scaffolding system, square tower scaffolding system and various types of climbing scaffolding system. By 2013, there were more than 100 professional scaffolding manufacturers in China which mainly distributed in Wuxi, Guangzhou, and Qingdao. Technically, Chinese scaffolding manufacturers have the ability to process and produce various new types of scaffolding. However, the domestic market has not been formed, construction enterprises have an insufficient understanding of the new scaffolding system.

With the emergence of a large number of modern and large building systems in China, tubular scaffolding can no longer meet the needs of the development of building construction. It is urgent to develop and promote new types of scaffolding for sale. The practice has proved that using the new type of scaffold is not only safe and reliable in construction, but also quick in assembling and disassembling. By the application of new types of scaffolding system, the amount of steel used for scaffolding can be reduced by 33% and the efficiency of assembling and disassembling can be increased by more than twice. And also the construction cost can be significantly reduced, and the construction site will be more civilized and tidier.
