Rustproof Processing Technology of ADTO Scaffolding Pipe
1. Hot dipped galvanizing. Derusting is an important process before hot-dip galvanizing, which is directly related to the quality of galvanized scaffolding pipes. Thorough derusting can improve the adhesion of the zinc coating and extend the service life of the galvanized steel pipe.
2. Sandblast treatment. The galvanized steel pipe processed by sand blast treatment or pickling technology treatment has been cleaned the oxidized iron sheet and rust. The surface of the galvanized pipes will provide excellent adhesion for zinc coating. When the method of sandblasting cannot be adopted on the installation site, manual mechanical derusting should be adopted. But the derusting quality grade must be achieved.
3. When sandblasting or manual mechanical rust removal is adopted, the surface of the scaffolding pipe is exposed to the air due to the peeling of the oxidized iron sheet. If a primer is not applied in time, the surface of the scaffolding pipe is easy to rust again which will affect the adhesion of the paint film. As the paint is a kind of time-sensitive materials, once the inventory is overstocked, it is easy to expire. Therefore, the main indicators must be re-examined before the paint is used, and the paint can only be used when the results meet the standards.
The hot dipped galvanizing treatment is the best method in above three kinds of rust-removing and rust-resistance technology. The hot dipped galvanizing process is a process making the surface of the scaffolding pipe to have a chemical reaction with the zinc coating to form a certain thickness of anti-rust zinc coating. Hot dipped galvanized steel pipe has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, rust resistance and the zinc coating on the surface is not easily fall off and wear. Compared to the painted scaffolding pipe, hot dipped galvanizing treatment has greatly longer the the service life of scaffolding pipe.
