Operations for erecting formwork system normally involves the following steps:

1. Propping the acrow props and centering the whole system

2. Provision of camber

3. Shuttering

4. Cleaning and surface treatment

Order and Method of Removing or Disassembling Formwork System:

The sequence of orders and method of disassembly of the formwork system are as follows:

1. Shuttering forming soffit of beams, girders or other heavily loaded shuttering should be removed in the end.

2. Shuttering forming the vertical faces of walls, beams and column sides should be removed first as they bear no load but only retain the concrete.

3. Shuttering forming soffit of slabs should be removed next.
