Frame scaffold has been widely used in the construction projects due to its versatility, rigidity and sturdiness. There are types of frame scaffold available in the market now, and the mainly frame scaffold types include A frame scaffold and H frame scaffold.

However, different frame scaffold kinds come with a same design and calculation standards:

They are:

1. stability and erection height; rigidity and strength of scaffolding boards; strength and stability and joint strength of tie members.

2. stability of the formwork bracing

3. test for load bearing of ground base in the frame scaffolding system and formwork bracing system.

4. cantilevered bracing structure and anchor joints of cantilever scaffolding

5. full hall scaffolding and formwork bracing shall be tested for anti-overturning ratio.

Once the erection height and its working loading are within the requirements for the erection of frame scaffolding, there is no need to calculate its stability and erection height. However, its tie members, ground base bearing capacity, and the cantilever structure of the cantilever scaffold and its anchor members shall be calculated and designed according to the real working load conditions and situations.
