Can Scaffolding Be Used On Uneven Ground

Time:2015/02/26

In most cases, the uneven ground does not cause a problem for scaffolding. The system can be designed in such a way using precise measurements to ensure that the top of the scaffolding unit and the surfaces on which people stand or place their equipment are completely level and safe. Pole lengths can vary, and specialist constructions can be made that will help to ensure that this is the case for your construction.

The foundation of the scaffold must be strong, strong, and able to support the weight. Scaffolding should not be placed on unstable objects such as bricks or blocks.

Scaffolding should only be erected, dismantled, or moved by properly trained workers under the supervision of a qualified person.

Scaffolding and components must be able to withstand at least four times the expected load.

Standard guardrails (e.g. handrails and center rails) and toe boards must be provided for all open sides of the scaffold which should be more than 1m above the surrounding surface.

Cross braces cannot be used as a complete guardrail system, but are acceptable for top guardrails when the intersection of the two braces is between 0.9m and 1.3m above the working platform, and between 2m for intermediate Guardrails are acceptable 0.5m and 0.8m above the working platform. The vertical distance between the ends of the cross bracing shall not exceed 1.3 meters.

To prevent objects from falling, a barrier must be installed between the toe board and the middle rail if any person is required to pass under the scaffolding.

Any damaged or weakened components of scaffolding must be repaired or replaced immediately.

All planks or platforms must overlap by at least 10cm and should be prevented from moving. Scaffolding planks shall extend at least 5cm but not more than 12cm over their end supports.

The working area of each scaffolding platform and walkway must be at least 46cm wide. If a work area of at least 46cm wide cannot be provided, guardrails and/or personal fall arrest systems must still be used.

Ladders or other safe access must be provided.

Access must be provided when the scaffolding platform is more than 0.6 m above or below the access point. When the horizontal distance between the bracket and other surfaces does not exceed 36cm, and the vertical distance does not exceed 61cm, it can be directly entered. Cross brackets shall not be used as an entry tool.

Employees performing excessive masonry on supported scaffolding must be protected by a guardrail or personal fall arrest system on all sides except the side where work is being done.

The double-width design is stable and reliable and is widely suitable for use in occasions that are not limited by floor space

The vertical ladder structure design can not only save the working space but also reduce the erection time

The working platform can be set up at any level of the tower, and the height of each level is 46cm to meet the needs of different working heights

The exquisite and flexible combination makes scaffolding widely used in various occasions such as stairs, super high requirements and other occasions

It is easy to move, only needs to be set up once, and can be moved to different places for use
