Introduction to Modular Scaffolding

Time:2019/01/26

Ideally, a scaffolding system needs to be very flexible and fast to assemble. It must be erected quickly and efficiently. Modular scaffolding is the most advanced type of scaffolding system. Compared to non-modular systems, modular scaffolding provides enough versatility and reduces the time of assembly. High rigidity of joints gives more load-bearing capacity and height. Modular Scaffolding systems consist of standards with fixed connection points that accept ledgers, transoms, and diagonals that can be interconnected at predetermined (modular) levels.

All the main components of modular scaffolding, such as standards, ledgers, transoms, decks, and diagonals, have uniform lengths and widths. The variety of choices is quite wide and that allows lots of adjustments to be made to suit any particular project. The versatility is very close to the Tubular scaffolding system.

At the same time utilizing standard hand-tools, modular scaffolding system is fast-up and fast-down, minimizing labor costs and delays. This can be considered as the main advantage. With its high versatility and fast assembly, the modular scaffolding system is especially suited for applications in industry, power stations, shipyards, and special structures. But of course, it is also possible to provide facade scaffolding as well if the fast assembly and good versatility are needed.
