Cantilever Scaffolding Erection Procedure

#1 The preparation before the scaffolding erection:

 

1) Cantilever scaffolding erection must be prepared a special construction plan, the plan must include cantilevered beam plane positioning layout.

2) If the section erection height is more than 20m, experts shall be organized to carry out the scheme demonstration.

3) The cantilever beam of the cantilever scaffolding must be of I-steel above # 16;

4) The anchorage end of the cantilever beam shall be 1.25 times longer than the length of the cantilever end.

5) The cantilever length shall be determined according to the design, and the length of cantilever steel beam shall not exceed 2m generally. If the cantilever length is more than 3m, special designation and demonstration are needed.

6) Fixed ends of section steel cantilever beams shall be fixed with 2 or more anchor bolts and structural beam plates.

7) Floor thickness shall not be less than 120mm, less than 120mm should be adopted reinforcement measures.

8) The arrangement of the cantilever beam should make sure that the support bar falls on it, and the strengthening measures should be taken where the load is concentrated in the corner of the building. (the installation and protection of the rods shall be the same as the aforementioned floor type outer shelf)

 

 

#2 Specification Demonstration

 

1) Embedded Φ 20U screw in the floors, each beam setup Φ 16 cable served as the safety rope.

2) Specific specifications and models of I-steel, anchor screw, and cable are determined according to the program calculation.

3) The anchor ring is embedded through the PVC pipe before concrete casting, and the screw is protected by tape.

4) The bottom of the scaffold shall be provided with sweeping poles along the vertical and horizontal direction according to the requirements of the specification. Steel bars shall be welded to the upper surface of the cantilever beam to secure the pole. Lay timber brace along the length of the scaffold above the crossbar, and fully covered with formwork for protection.

5) The inner side of the pole at the bottom of the scaffold shall be provided with a 200mm high skirting board; The bottom shall be completely sealed with hard material.

6) The Angle between wire rope and steel beam should be between 45° ~ 60°.

7) Embedded rings shall be made of light round steel reinforcement, whose diameter shall not be less than 20mm (or determined by calculation).

8) The type and length of steel beam selected are determined according to the calculation results.

9) After the cantilever steel beam is installed, the 200mm high steel bar is welded to serve as the anchor point of the pole.

10) The length of the fixed section of the cantilever steel beam shall not be less than 1.25 times the length of the cantilever.

11) The support point of the cantilevered steel beam shall be set on the structural beam and shall not be set on the overhanging balcony or cantilever plate.

12) In addition to the u-shaped screw, the embedded ring can also be used as follows.

13) The anchor ring is made of round steel with a diameter of 20mm, with large eyes running through the base of 10mm thick and fully welded to the base. The length of the round steel is 35cm, the length of the base is 30cm and the width is 8cm.
